NCDA supports the Philippine Para Chess Team
The Philippine Para Chess team composed of 22 Para Athletes; 4 men and 3 women completely blind; 4 men and 3 women partially blind; 4 men and 4 women with physical disability and four Coaching staff , will compete to the ASEAN Para Games on Jun 3 to 9, 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
In support to the Para Chess Athletes, NCDA Executive Director Don Fradejas grant their request to stay for a month at the NCDA Disability Resource and Development Center for an extensive training in preparation for the ASEAN Para Games.The Council wishes them good luck and congratulations for being part of the 2023 ASEAN PARA GAMES.

The National Council on Disability Affairs held its 2023 Mid-year Assessment and Catch-up Planning in Ciudad Christhia Resort located in San Mateo, Rizal on June 6 and 7, 2023.
This undertaking aims to evaluate the accomplishments of all the divisions of the Council, set new goals, revisit existing ones, and make clear what the performance expectations are moving ahead.
Mid-year assessment and planning provides an opportunity to make adjustments to ensure the delivery of projects and activities to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities.

2nd Regional Person’s With Disability Summit
League of Persons with Disability Affairs Officer in the Philippines (LPDAOP) in Partnership with National Council on Disability Affairs conducted the 2nd Regional Person’s with Disability Summit. The 3-day conference was held in Negros Residences, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental from May 24 to 26 , 2023.
Some of the topic discussed during the 1st day of the summit were: Implementation of DILG MC No. 4 series 2021, Good Practices, Challenges and Recommendations; Coordination Mechanisms in Program Implementation and Social Service Delivery Involving Persons with Disabilities in Region 6; and Current Initiatives on the regional Implementation of Accessibility Law.
