The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) took part in the launch of the Australia Awards Philippines short course, Improving Competencies in GEDSI and Climate Resilience Planning and Change Management, held in Manila this January.

The program, led by Dr. Prue Brown from the University of Queensland and Dr. Eva Abal from the International RiverFoundation, provided an in-depth exploration of Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) in climate resilience strategies. NCDA contributed to expert panel discussions alongside the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples and the Department of Social Welfare and Development, highlighting the importance of disability inclusion in policy development.

With ongoing mentorship and coaching over the next 12 weeks, NCDA remains committed to transforming insights into action, ensuring that climate resilience efforts are inclusive and accessible for all.
