The National Council on Disability Affairs attended and participated in the first “Plant-Run” of the Civil Service Commission held in Yes City, Brgy. Cuyambay, Tanay, Rizal on September 17, 2023, as part of the celebration of the 123rd anniversary of the Civil Service in the Philippines.

Thousands of staff and officials of government offices from Calabarzon Mimaropa, and Metro Manila participated led by CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.

According to Mr. Nograles, the money raised from the activity will be used for Pamanang Lingkod Bayani, a program that gives recognition to government employees who died during their service by providing financial assistance and free education to family members who they left behind.

The program which  started at 5:50 AM was inaugurated by Tanay Mayor Rafael A. Tanjuatco and Rizal Governor Nine Ynares followed by Trail Hike and tree planting.
