Accessibility Audit in Butuan City

June 13, 2011. The National Council for Disability Affairs (NCDA) Regional Program Coordinator Flerida Labanon, together with focal persons from The Regional Council for Disability Affairs (RCDA) Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga  and different member-agencies visited the  Butuan City Hall to conduct an accessibility audit  of the Building to ensure that the Local Governemnt of Butuan complies with BP 344 or the Accessibility Law,

An act to enhance the mobility of disabled person’s by requiring certain buildings, institutions, establishments and public utilities to install facilities and other devices.

The team met with City Administrator Leah Mendoza to discuss how they can work together to make the Butuan City hall accessible. (PIA-Caraga)
